Help & FAQs
How do I fit the nightguard?
Our guards are designed to be trimmed and moulded at home to suit your unique bite. Each pack includes step-by-step instructions and a fitting tray.
Basic steps:
- Boil water and let it cool slightly.
- Place the guard in the hot water for the recommended time or 60 seconds.
- Carefully removing the nightguard with tongs and waiting until a comfortable temperature, insert it centrally into your mouth and bite down gently.
- Use scissors to carefully trim excess material if needed.
- Reheat and remould until it feels comfortable.
Is it uncomfortable at first?
Most users find that it takes a night or two to get used to wearing the guard. Some trimming and remoulding may be needed to find the right fit. This is normal for any boil-and-bite guard.
Tip: Try wearing it for short periods during the day at first to get used to the feel.
How long does the nightguard last?
With proper care, each guard can last 3-6 months depending on frequency of use and how well it is maintained.
What if I have a small or large mouth?
The guards are designed to be trimmed to suit a wide range of mouth sizes. If you’re unsure, start with small cuts and test the fit before trimming more.
What if the guard doesn't fit well?
If the fit feels off or uncomfortable, try:
- Reheating and remoulding it
- Trimming uneven areas
